Modern Fire Attack for Initial Company Operations is a review of the UL/NIST studies and how modern fire behavior/dynamics affects initial company operations. The course will consist of classroom lecture, reviewing important information that has come from the UL/NIST studies and how SLICERS can be implemented into modern fire attack models. The course will also include several practical observation drills to review the effects of the flow path and the importance of controlling it. These observation drills will include the burning of a dollhouse and a flow path drill conducted within a Phase I Flashover Simulator.
